French jewelry designer Frederique Dessemond moved to NYC from Marseille in 1999 to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Before launching Ginette_ny, she worked two years for handbag and jewelry designer Paige Novick. Dessemond started by using vintage components and transforming them into uniquely beautiful pieces. Today, Dessemond has a flagship store in New York’s West Village, and her line can be purchased in Henri Bendel, Barneys, and other high-end retailers.
