At a young age, self-taught Croatian born jewelry designer Mirjana Cesar was already designing clothing and accessories for herself and her friends. After attending the University of Zagreb to study furniture design, she moved to Florida and began creating jewelry using freeform peyote stitch beading techniques. Later she launched Art Jewelry by Mirjana Cesar using this form of handmade stitching. Cesar uses vintage beads, pearls, semi-precious stones, mosaic tiles, and yarn throughout her one-of-a-kind creations.
